Vector Art is an artwork that uses a mathematical graphics primitives (lines, shapes) to describe color, shape, and placement information of the individual components of an image.
Vector elements are 'lossless' - you can transoform, modify and scale them without loosing quality, color or original shape.
Computer based vector graphics and illustrations gives me instant and rapid ability to explore multiple ideas quickly and to drill down to an idea without limits - I can have any shape, detail or color I like in few moves - this endless possibility for combining colors, elements and details helps me to quickly isolate the idea of the artwork!
Illustrations are widely spread - open a child's book - all images there are illusrations. Recall your favorite illustrated children's book - you will remember images first!
Now most of the industry promotion rely on the vector graphics and illustrations - from company logos, CD, video, DVD or PC game covers, books, magazines, Internet and etc - you can find the application of the vector art everywhere.
Vector art is applicable not only on printed and electronic media, but become also a part of our dress code - many t-shirs, jacket and etc are already 'stamped' with it - walk down any street, in any town and you will easily lots of people wearing a t-shirt with some kind of graphic or logo on it.
